Nottingham’s tram network is set to ‘go green’ on Monday (April 15) to raise money for a very worthy cause.
Dressed to match the colours of MacMillan Cancer Support, NET employees with collection buckets will be out and about across the network in support of a charity that’s close to the hearts of many across the city.
Visitors to the NET Travel Centre in King Street can also join in the fundraising fun - and enjoy a tasty treat - by buying a freshly baked cake served up by the tram customer services team.
Chris Williams, Commercial Manager at NET operator Keolis Nottingham Trams, commented:
“We’ve supported MacMillan’s national Go Green campaign for a number of years but this year it will help us celebrate a new partnership between the tram and the charity.
“It’ll be the first of a series of fundraising activities over the next 12 months and customers are being invited to help us raise as much as possible for a cause that means so much to so many people.”
As part of the campaign, NET has set up a Just Giving page where customers can make donations. It can be found at www.justgiving.com/fundraising/nottm-trams-macmillan
