NET, Nottingham’s tram network, has teamed up with the UK’s largest coach operator to make it easier for visitors to explore the city whilst offering great savings for regular customers planning trips further afield.
Anyone booking a National Express coach ticket to or from Nottingham can pay for tram travel at the same time, wherever they are in the country.
With the National Express pick up/drop off point right next to the Nottingham Station tram stop in Station Street, the switch from road to track couldn’t be easier.
Stephanie Moss-Pearce, NET Marketing Manager, explained: “The tram forms the backbone of the city’s transport network, serving many of Nottingham’s top attractions and other key locations.
“The new partnership will help visitors to pay in advance for their travel around the city and of course anyone living in Nottingham can use the tram to get to the coach pick up point.
“At the same time, NET season ticket holders can enjoy 20 per cent off any National Express journey and all they have to do to take advantage of this fantastic offer is visit the coach operator’s website and enter in their pass number.”
John Boughton, Commercial Director at National Express, added: ”We bring hundreds of passengers through Nottingham by coach every single day.
“By joining up public transport into and then across the city in this way, travellers’ journeys will be even easier than before.”
