Overhead Line Replacement Work
Sunday 17th November from 4 pm
Tram services to resume as normal from 6 am on the 18th November
On Sunday the 17th of November, we will be carrying out repair work to our overhead lines in the Beeston area. The work will start at 4 pm and last until the end of tram services on that day. During this time, there will be no tram services between the University of Nottingham and Cator Lane, affecting the Hucknall and Toton Lane services.
Services affected
No tram service between the University of Nottingham and Cator Lane
The following tram stops will be closed:
- University Boulevard
- Middle Street
- Beeston Centre
- Chilwell Road
- High Road - Central College
Replacement bus stops and route
There will be a replacement bus service operating between the University of Nottingham and Cator Lane tram stops.
Please note that due to road closures in place during the work, the replacement bus service will not be servicing any stops between the University of Nottingham and Cator Lane. The bus will stop at the University of Nottingham and Cator Lane only.

The replacement bus will operate every 10 minutes from 4 pm-8 pm
The replacement bus will then operate every 15 minutes from 8 pm until the end of tram service on the 17th of November
Road Diversions
We will have several road closures in place during the work. All road closures will be signposted. Road closures will include the following:
- Station Road
- Middle Street, Southbound from the corner of Station Road (access northbound towards Regent Street and Humber Road will remain)
- Middle Street between the corner of Chilwell Road and Station Road
- Styring Street
- Chilwell Road from the corner of Colin Street to Middle Street

Park & Ride

Open 7 days a week, our sites are cleaned daily and patrolled by staff as well as monitored by CCTV. Park Mark approval means those sites have met the national standard for UK car parks that have low crime and measures in place to ensure the safety of people and vehicles.
There are disabled and parent and child spaces close by and cycle hubs and electric vehicle charging points at some sites.

Our tram service operates a "turn up and go" service, with trams from every 7 minutes during the week (every 3 minutes within the City Centre) and from every 10 minutes at weekends and bank holidays. Displays at every stop will let you know when the next tram is due to arrive.
