Nottingham Art Club Arrives to the City

Written by Admin | Aug 1, 2022 7:30:19 AM

School’s out for summer and to celebrate Nottingham Business Improvement District (BID), the city centre alliance, is launching the first ever Nottingham Art Club!

Delivered through the organisation's consumer facing channel, It’s in Nottingham, the project aims to enhance family wellbeing and inspire Nottingham’s next generation of young creatives - helping to break down barriers and form lifelong connections to the Arts and Culture industries.

From 1 August 2022 families will be able to enjoy a range of free and ticketed workshops and activities across the city, including a graffiti workshop at Base 51, giant messy art attack and family rave at Nonsuch Studios, family clay tile making at Tiger Community Enterprise, soft sculpture-making workshop at the National Justice Museum and an introduction to risograph at Dizzy Ink at Sneinton Market, amongst others.

And that’s not all - Nottingham Tram has launched a new Family Group Ticket to help families access the great range of activities on offer during the school holidays, allowing a group of eight to travel for as little as £1 each per day.

The new Family Group Ticket will mean that 2 adults and up to 6 children can travel together on the entire network all day at a discounted rate of £8 until Wednesday 31 August 2022.

NCT Buses are also offering 15% discount on their Group Day tickets through the NCTX Buses app. Riders just need to select ‘mobile tickets’ in the app, scroll down and select NCT partners - choose your ticket and enter ITSINNOTTINGHAM as the discount code to enjoy discounted fares. Activate your ticket when you’re ready to board the bus and make unlimited journeys on NCT buses in Nottingham for the day.

Alex Flint, CEO of Nottingham BID, said: “We are really excited to present Nottingham Art Club for the first time this summer. With the school holidays underway and many families struggling to afford to keep their children entertained over this period, we wanted to move the barriers and provide a range of free activities for children to enjoy over the summer and discover the fabulous cultural venues that the city has to offer.

“With all the great offers in place we hope that families decide to stay  in the city for longer and make a day of it.”
