Anyone heading out to bag a bargain on Black Friday or Cyber Monday can also make great savings by travelling to the shops by tram.

Today (Friday, November 29) only, NET customers can buy a discounted adult day ticket for just £3 – a saving 25% – when purchased using the NETGO! mobile app.

Student and child day tickets have also been reduced to £2 and £1 respectively on Black Friday and even more savings can be made on Cyber Monday (December 2) when an adult week ticket will cost just £15, a reduction of £3 on the usual price.

Rebekah Smith, NET Marketing Manager explained: “We all like a bargain and at this time of year there are plenty to be had in our local shops.

“At NET we want to help people to make the most of the snap sales and by getting into the spirit of Black Friday and reducing some of our most popular fares, we hope to give NET customers a little extra to spend on themselves or a loved one!”
