Are You Ready For The Weekend?... We Are!
01 July 2016
Local residents and visitors to Nottingham can make the most of cut-price tram travel as the city plays host to a number of highly-anticipated events this weekend.
Saturday will see a special parade in the Old Market Square as the city’s new Lord Mayor is sworn in at the Council House before the festivities move on to a family fun day at Nottingham Castle.
There will be various activities taking place in Hucknall as the town’s annual Byron Festival begins, whilst a Dr Who convention is set to take place at Nottingham Conference Centre across the weekend.
There’ll also be plenty of cricket with Nottinghamshire in action at Trent Bridge for the T20 Championship on Friday evening and the County Championship on Sunday.
NET’s specially priced £5 Group Ticket will be available all day on both Saturday and Sunday, and from 4pm on the Friday, offering unlimited tram for one or two adults and up to three children – ideal for groups traveling across Nottingham.
Stephanie Moss-Pearce, Assistant Marketing Manager at NET, explained: “With so much happening in Nottingham within easy reach of our network this weekend, the tram offers the perfect way for families and groups of friends to travel to and from events with ease.
“With over 5,000 free spaces at 7 different park & ride sites located across the network, tram users can even save on the cost of parking when heading for a day out in the city.”
