From Monday 22 May Nottingham’s tram network will no longer sell tickets for travel through PayPoint outlets.
NET has used PayPoint to sell 7 day and 30 day tickets across a number of locations in the city, but demand for the payment method has dropped following the introduction of other ticketing options.
Stephanie Moss-Pearce, NET’s Assistant Marketing Manager, explained: “With a number of ways to pay for tram travel being introduced in the last few years we’ve seen a decrease in sales of tickets through PayPoint to just a handful a week.
“If customers would like to pay for their travel in advance, they still have a number of options including the MANGO and Robin Hood travel cards as well as online payment through My Mobile Tickets.
“Alternatively they can also choose from a wide range of tickets on the platform at any of our tram stop ticket machines that take both card and cash payments.”
All tickets brought through PayPoint outlets before Monday 22 May will still be valid until the expiry date printed on the ticket.
