Take The Tram To Beeston Film Festival
06 March 2017
Movie lovers will be able to claim discount tram travel when the annual Beeston Film Festival returns.

Taking place from Thursday 9 March to Sunday 12 March, Nottingham’s tram network is set to sponsor the four-day event that will showcase the talents of independent filmmakers from across the world.

Opening with a special night of local films on the Thursday at The University of Nottingham, the festival will continue across the weekend with screenings taking place at The White Lion Bar & Kitchen which is right next to the Beeston Centre tram stop.

Film fans travelling to the festival will also be able to claim specially discounted £2 return tram travel by purchasing NET’s special Event Ticket from any tram stop ticket machine.

Those using the Event Ticket will need to make sure they have their festival ticket with them, along with their tram ticket, should they be asked by travel officers.

Stephanie Moss-Pearce, NET’s Assistant Marketing Manager, said: “We’re delighted to be supporting a fantastic local event that has grown in stature and popularity each year to become one of the most anticipated dates on Beeston’s annual calendar.

“With discounted travel and a stop right next to the festival’s main hub, we hope to encourage as many films fans from across Nottingham and beyond to come and enjoy what the festival has to offer.”
