NET and local charity Forever Stars are asking Notts County fans to share their tram selfies for the chance to win a signed shirt.
Fans travelling to the Magpies’ game against Blackpool on Saturday 29 April can tweet their selfies next to a tram or at a tram stop in order to be entered into a draw to claim a shirt signed by Kevin Nolan’s first team.
Those wishing to get involved must remember to tag both NET (@NETTram
) and Forever Stars (@FSFundraising
) and include #starsupport
in their tweets.
Stephanie Moss-Pearce, NET’s Assistant Marketing Manager, said: “We’re proud to have such strong ties with Forever Stars after naming one of our trams after its founders, Richard and Michelle Daniels, earlier this year.
“This competition is a fantastic initiative and one of many we have planned throughout the year to help continue to raise the profile of such a fantastic local charity.
“It’ll be great to see pictures from Notts County fans using the tram to make their way to the side’s last home game of the season. They might even take a selfie next Tram 222 which is named in Forever Stars’ honour.”
Forever Stars is a charity that supports bereaved parents of stillborn babies and neonatal baby loss and was set up by Richard and Michelle Daniels following the stillbirth of their daughter Emily in December 2013.
The charity opened its first bereavement suite at the Queen’s Medical Centre in April 2016 and is well under way with their plans to open a second suite at the City Hospital by the end of 2017.
Richard Daniels, Co-Founder of Forever Stars, said: “We’re delighted to be partnering with NET for this exciting competition and we’re very grateful to Notts County for kindly donating the prize.
“We look forward to continuing to work with NET and the people of Nottingham as we try to lift the taboo of talking about stillbirth and raise money towards our second bereavement suite.”
The names of all fans that submit selfies will be entered into a random draw, the winner of which will be chosen on Monday 1 May and notified shortly afterwards.
Tram customers looking to support Forever Stars can donate £5 to the charity today by simply texting ‘Tram22 £5’ to 700 70.
