Line One is 14km long, 10km of which runs alongside the Robin Hood railway line between Hucknall in the north and Wilkinson Street Park and Ride, and on a disused freight line which takes the system to a Park and Ride at Phoenix Park near the M1 (junction 26). On the way it serves Park and Rides at Hucknall and Moor Bridge and Bulwell railway station, bus station and town centre.

The remaining 4km runs on streets between Hyson Green and Nottingham railway station passing through the historical Goose Fair site (The Forest), the heart of the city (Old Market Square) and its popular shopping, leisure (Royal Centre) and tourism attractions (Lace Market).
