A flurry of festivities makes Nottingham the place to be this Christmas – and the best way to enjoy the seasonal magic is by tram.
The city’s popular Winter Wonderland has returned to Old Market Square with its irresistible mix of ice-rink, food, bars, market, and entertainment. As the event’s transport partner, NET offers a swift and convenient ride to the heart of the festive fun!
Elsewhere on the tram network Santa himself is taking up residence at Toton Park and Ride on the weekend of December 16/17. Tickets to his grotto cost just £2 per child, including a gift from Santa, and are available from the Toton Lane Park and Ride Kiosk. Organised by the Forever Stars charity, there will be entertainment and food available throughout the weekend.
Beeston, meanwhile, flicks the switch on its Christmas lights on December 2 in Beeston Square. The tram will drop you right in the middle of this extravaganza of festive colour and light, running from 3.30pm-7pm with a traditional fair and fireworks.
Travelling with family or friends? NET is making £5 group tickets available after 4pm, all day on weekends, and during school holidays (Dec 26 – Jan 5). It’s also available all day on Black Friday, November 24, for those seeking a festive bargain.
There’s even Yuletide fun on the trams themselves as Smooth Radio and their street team will be on board for the next four weeks giving out festive treats.
Stephanie Moss-Pearce, Marketing Manager at NET, said: “When it comes to the city’s big festive events, and helping people reach them quickly and easily, NET has got everything covered.
“Our tram network means more people can enjoy a fantastic Christmas in Nottingham without any worries about beating the traffic. All they have to do is sit back and enjoy this most special time of year.”
