New Children’s All Day Ticket Cuts Cost of Tram Travel by at Least 15%
Children travelling by tram from Monday can save at least 15% per day on their journey, thanks to the introduction of a new All Day Children’s Tram Ticket.
At just £1.70, the new All Day ticket saves at least 30p a day – or 15% - compared to buying 2 single children’s tickets on the tram, which would cost £2. As an all day ticket, children enjoy even better value the more they travel.
In addition, 2 new PayPoint consecutive day travel tickets will be introduced, to cater for customers who travel regularly by tram, but for shorter periods. The new 3 Tram Days at £7.50 and 15 Tram Days at £19 will be sold at all local PayPoint retailers from Monday.
Commenting on these ticket changes, Anthony Carver-Smith NET Brands Manager said, “With the current economic situation, we appreciate household budgets are being squeezed at the moment. With our new all day children’s tram ticket and our new PayPoint options, we’re offering our customers really good value when they travel by tram, which is a fast, frequent and reliable way to travel into Nottingham”.
Customers who travel on the Phoenix Flyer bus service, which links Ilkeston, Kimberley and Nuthall with the tram at Phoenix Park will also benefit from new weekly and monthly tickets introduced by the bus operator, Veolia Transport.
